Can other family members come for counseling?

Yes, but they may need to see a different therapist.

Do you accept Medicare or Medicaid?

We do not have therapists accepting Medicare clients.

As for Medicaid, we have therapists who accept Health Options and United Healthcare Community Plan.

Do you offer psychological testing?

We are not offering psychological testing services at this time.

Do you prescribe medication?

Currently we do not have anyone in our office who prescribes medication.  Please click here for our list of psychiatrists who prescribe medication.

Do you provide Christian counseling?

Yes. We specialize in faith-based counseling and integrate this to the degree a client desires.

Do you provide court ordered evaluations or counseling?

Do you see children under 5 years old?

Yes, some of our therapists work with very young children.

What are your hours?

The Newark office is open Monday through Saturday. The Middletown office is open Monday through Thursday.  Specific hours depend on which therapist you will be seeing.

What will I have to pay?

Every insurance policy is different so we don’t know what your responsibility will be until we check your benefits. We recommend that you contact your insurance company and ask about your outpatient mental health benefits. If you are not using insurance, fees differ by therapist. For master’s-level therapists, the individual out-of-pocket fee is $100, and for a doctoral-level therapist, the individual fee is $125 per session.  Please contact the office for more information.

The Newark office is on the corner of Polly Drummond Hill Road and Kirkwood Highway and next door to Papastavros Imaging.  We are in the business townhouses that face Polly Drummond Hill Road.  Our office is NOT in the tall buildings in the back of Drummond Office Plaza.

Will my insurance cover psychotherapy?

Your benefits depend on the insurance plan in which you are enrolled. It is likely that your insurance will cover psychotherapy. We recommend that you contact your insurance company and ask about your outpatient mental health benefits.

Will there be a charge for a missed appointment?

Yes, a $30 fee will be charged for all appointments cancelled the same day as the appointment regardless of the reason. A $50 fee will be charged for appointments missed without notifying the office.
