Chelsea LeCates M.A.
Chelsea enjoys working with children ages five and up, adolescents, and adults. She has experience facilitating young adult mental health groups and plans to lead a teen group in the summer. Chelsea works with clients who are burdened by anxiety, depression, and trauma.
Before pursuing counseling, Chelsea worked with clients of all ages as a vision/ocular therapist. She graduated in 2013 from the University of Delaware with a bachelor’s in Neuroscience and from Goldey-Beacom with a master’s degree in counseling psychology. She is working on hours for licensure and is supervised by a licensed professional counselor.
Chelsea uses a client-centered approach with elements of cognitive behavioral therapy to meet each client’s individual needs. Her therapy focuses on building a genuine connection with clients so they may safely express themselves.
